We run facilitated escape games inside Singapore attractions: Wonderland across VivoCity, Heart of the Ocean at the Oceanarium on Sentosa, and Two Pieces at the Singapore Maritime Gallery. Staff, spouses, children and grandparents play the same game, family by family. It runs about two hours, which leaves the rest of the day for lunch, speeches and photos.

The indoor ones with a light story. Wonderland follows the clues Alice left around VivoCity, for up to 120 pax. Heart of the Ocean turns the Oceanarium into an enchanted board game, bright and fast-moving, for up to 150. Two Pieces is a light maritime adventure at the Singapore Maritime Gallery, written to work across ages, for up to 200. All three run about two hours under cover. With young children, we would pick any of them over Code of Silence, our tense wartime game in the Battlebox bunker.

Yes, and that is the whole point of the format. The puzzles are pitched at a range, so a young child can spot and fetch while an adult works out the logic, and each family moves through the venue at its own pace instead of waiting on a group. There is nothing to climb and no obstacle course, though an outdoor game like River Lockdown does involve a fair amount of walking.

Old enough to enjoy a puzzle with their family, because children play inside their family's team rather than in a team of their own. Clues come through a phone browser and a physical kit of props, so a child who reads can take a puzzle on while a younger one spots and fetches and an adult works out the logic. No. Our host briefs everyone, runs the game and keeps time. On the Immersive tier, cosplay facilitators are stationed around the venue as well, which is the part children remember longest. You confirm the date and the headcount, and we bring the rest.

River Lockdown at River Wonders is built for up to 1,000 playing at the same time, Heart of the Ocean at the Oceanarium takes up to 150, and Wonderland across VivoCity takes up to 120. Children play too, so they count towards the headcount. Tell us your rough number and we will match a game and a venue to it.

The game fee is SGD 300 fixed plus SGD 20 a head on Standard, so 100 pax is SGD 2,300, about SGD 23 a head. Immersive, which adds facilitators in costume around the venue, is SGD 1,100 fixed plus SGD 20 a head. Attraction admission is separate and priced by the venue: the Oceanarium needs a ticket for everyone, while VivoCity, the Singapore Maritime Gallery and Fort Siloso need none. Outdoors suits a bigger, fitter group: Lost Treasure of Sarang Rimau takes up to 1,000 across the ramparts and tunnels of Fort Siloso on Sentosa, all on foot. Outdoor routes have sheltered hold points, and rain pauses the clock rather than ending the game.
